This was totally random, but it is fitting that item #1,000,000 happened to be a Shaqille O’Neal rookie card. It was added to the site the same week that Shaq was traded to Cleveland, where the National Sports Collectors Convention is being held later this month.

I think I might get it framed and bring it to display at the national. We just finalized out travel plans for the national. Steve Hollander, Dave Elmore, and I will be attending the national this year. We are now working on the promotional materials and specials we want to run.

If you will be at the national, you will want to make sure to swing by our booth to take advantage of our show-only specials and to introduce yourself to us. I know it is early, but the first 6 days of June have been very good for business. Maybe the baseball season is getting into swing.

I was looking at our stats and noticed that May of last year was the first full month in our current warehouse. Then I noticed that CheckOutMyCards.com generated more revenue in these first 6 days of June than we did the entire month of May last year.

Hopefully this is a reflection of things changing in the economy. Thanks for spreading the word about CheckOutMyCards.com and making it what it is today. We are about 75,000 cards away from adding item #1,000,000 to the site. With our current rate of a little more than 20,000 cards per week, that means we will be posting item #1,000,000 this month.

I talked to my employees about this to make sure that we don’t offer any favoritism as we get closer to this number. We will just process cards as we normally do. Anyone could win the $100. It could be someone who sent us cards months ago with our budget processing service, it could be someone who sent us stuff a few weeks ago with our standard service, it could be someone who just sent us priority items, or it could even be someone who sends us cards in the next couple weeks with our express service.

Two weeks ago we had two new employees join our team. These employees and the rest of our team have been doing an absolutely amazing job. There had previously only been one week where we processed 20,000 cards.

Last week we processed 20,182 cards to break our previous record of 20,041 cards.
This week technically isn’t over yet, but we have already processed 23,606 cards this week.

That is an amazing pace. I took a glace at the top sellers and noticed that very soon my LowPriceCards account won’t bee the only account with a six digit book value. The growth we have seen over the past year is pretty stunning.
